Fed Up.

It’s hard living in a world where the people you meet will continously judge you on their own prejudice and stereotypes, instead of getting to know you, for you, as a person.

I just want to surround myself with people who don’t see a color or nationality when they sit down to converse with me.

I am not an American, a Brit, black or white. I am in fact all of these things, yet not one of them define me as a person. I have cultural influences from each of those backgrounds, as well as ones that I don’t belong to.

I just want to be seen for me. Without the basis for conversation stemming from what someone expects me to be. I am Maija, nothing more, nothing less.
